This really didn’t need to be bumped for no reason.

I thought that feature was removed after the great bumping of mid 2022

The bump button was removed, but it just led to people leaving endless replies that simply said "bump" or "up" or "asdl;kjfdla;kjfda;lkj" which creates the same problem of needlessly bumping the thread but also creates the new problem of sending everybody who follows the thread a notification.

I get why the bump button was brought back, but popular threads that aren’t active very often don’t need to be bumped just to try to fish for more likes on 3 week old content. That’s spam.

Yeah, I agree, but generally forums like this run on software that has options and settings you can toggle on and off. Setting it up so only certain threads have a bump button isn't really possible. If it were up to me I'd have it so threads could only be bumped if the last activity was at least a month ago, but
1. That's also likely something beyond what the software is already configured to handle
2. That would just lead to idiots posting garbage replies anyway.

I don't think people realize how much garbage there really is. Most threads on this site have something like 5+ garbage replies that get moderated and deleted in between every post that actually gets posted. It's just a constant stream of dudes who have never contributed posting "any updates?", "she posted today", "who's going to be a king?", etc etc etc
