Discussion Direct message problem

Hello xbunker team,

I really like this forum, but I see a significant problem!
We can't send direct messages or leave this forum to create a search group elsewhere (which would be more effective)!
I understand why this is the case (it's difficult to moderate groups on Dis*, Tel*, etc.), but could you consider allowing direct messaging for the most active users, like those with the Soldier role or higher?

We had previously allowed direct messaging, but after some issues with spam and abuse Admin shut it down for the majority of users. I'm not sure what the specific requirements are for users to use the DM feature right now.
As far as going off forum or creating private groups, those are specifically against site rules. We can't be responsible for assisting people in creating unmoderated groups, especially when there's a high likelihood of bad actors using those groups to sell content for money or trade in underage or otherwise illegal material.
