Discussion OnlyFans rolls out DRM protection on content

So, this may cause problems for people like myself who like to hoard content from OnlyFans.

But I think there will be backlash because the service they use, a lot of older devices and OS don't support compatibility, causing videos to play in lower resolution, or not even at all.

I think it's time for me to look for a new hobby.

Is this implemented sitewide currently? Has or will it actually change anything? Cause I'm still able to save on PC like I always have.

this will only hurt the creators of content as not many will like less than 780p resolution, and if i cant download content i dont sub to the page, and if speeds are slow for download i pass as well, there is more than enough porn out there for free

had one of my favs do DRM so i'm stuck doing screen records. but my extensions are working sporadicly, some work fine on the home page but don't in messages. seems like both sites are fixing the back end that's making the extensions not work. and a lot of the ones on github are full scrapes or too much effort beyond clicking on a button inserted onto the feed. anyone got new ones that do the buttons that are working? need for both of and fansly. thanks.

The extension I've been using suddenly died and was wondering what was going on. Too bad. I can't get screen recording to work either. Is there a new method? I bought some videos I want to download but don't want to download the entire accoun since I have most of it already.

Bumping this. More and more models are enabling DRM - Let's get some fixes out there.
ripping DRM vids on PC:

1. Decrypting the DRM the individual vid the manual way which is a pain but

2. Tubedigger - Paid program ($25) which gets close to source but has a 10 min limit currently
   You must be registered for see links
3. Cleverget - apparently similar to tubedigger, untested and expensive
   You must be registered for see links
4. Screen recording with OBS and hardware acceleration disabled in your browser (or just use firefox)

Mobile methods:

1. Coomer.party - theoretically if you can get your cookie information from Onlyfans using a browser like kiwi browser you can connect your account to coomer.party, let them rip the DRM vids and then download the content from coomer. Not sure if this works, have seen others say it works. Try and use dev tools or try and install this extension, you may have to try both the crx and load unpacked approaches detailed in the github readme

2. Screen recording - some people are able to screen record the DRM vids, while they are playing in messages/dms but not while maximised on screen... Feel free to add here
